I bought an Asus TF 101 about 3 years ago when they debuted. I thought it was one of the coolest things I'd seen. I quickly discovered that it wasn't all that great and ironically only 100 days after purchase I managed to destroy it. So, I bought another (but much later).
Even though ASUS did upgrade some of these device, they all had slow processors, minimal ram, and poor performance. ASUS did not offer any more upgrades, so I decided to do it myself.
Using the TransformerForums I rooted and upgraded to 4.4.3 KatKiss by Timduru. And since then it's like having a new tablet
